JACQUOT AND THE FIFTEEN is out now!

Maverick French Chief Inspector Daniel Jacquot is on the case again.

When dark jealousies surface on the French Riviera, Chief Inspector Daniel Jacquot suspects that someone is out for revenge.

Marc Dombasle is a successful businessman. He was also the captain of the French Rugby team that beat England at Twickenham twenty years earlier. To mark the anniversary, Dombasle organises a reunion for the members of the winning team. When Chief Inspector Daniel Jacquot receives his invitation to attend the party he is reluctant, but an old friend persuades him and he makes his way to the millionaire’s sumptuous Côte d'Azur home. But past rivalries soon re-surface and when one of Jacquot’s old team-mates commits suicide in a pool-side cabana, his suspicions are aroused. Is there a killer amongst them?

Martin O'Brien was educated at the Oratory School and Hertford College Oxford. He started his career as a copy-sub, going on to become Travel Editor of Vogue. He left Vogue to write ALL THE GIRLS. Praise for Martin O'Brien:

'O’Brien’s evocation of the hot vibrant and seedy French port in which everyone seems to be either a cop or a criminal, and sometimes both, is as masterly as Ian Rankin’s depiction of Edinburgh’ Daily Mail

‘Well-drawn, strongly flavoured setting in Marseilles… rich, spicy and served up with unmistakeable relish’ Literary Review

‘Murder, mayhem and the seedy side of Marseilles make for a mesmerising mix’ Northern Echo
